Aventure des Saveurs is a little cosy restaurant in the heart of the Capital, Port Louis, runned by Brinda, who was an accountant before embarking on the adventure of running a restaurant. The decor is simple, authentic and yet modern.
The wall is lined with old newspapers. Quite original as décor. This is a little nod to the owner’s childhood when painting was still a luxury and each year her parents lined the walls with newspapers.
It is a place where you eat well and eat healthy. The owner is an advocate of fresh and homemade products, even sauces, juices and desserts are homemade there.
The fruits and vegetables mostly come from the garden of her parents who are farmers or from the local market. There is absolutely no soft drink served at L'Aventure des Saveurs, you can rather taste teas with guava or lemon, bergamot juice, apple and cinnamon or kiwi, among others.
Small dessert pots are also available: white coconut-lemon, sweet potato sago, cream with cardamom and red fruits or vanilla flan or mango.
For lovers of local cuisine, the weekly rendezvous is set on Friday; For those looking for a bit of comfort food, on Wednesdays it's burger and fries party and for those on the go, salads, paninis and sandwiches are also available every day.
The panini Thai is one of the best-sellers to date! The menu proposed is usually renewed: therefore you may as well taste Strogonoff chicken, Thai Tom Yam soup, Indonesian fried rice Nasi Goreng, Parchentier hash, fish gratin or ratatouille.
